한국기초조형학회에서 주관하는 국제초대작품전시회는 연 2회 정기적으로 개최되는 국제학술대회(춘계, 추계)의 ‘국제초대작품전’과 비정기적으로 개최되는 ‘국제기획초대작품전’으로 구분하여 국내·외 특설전시장에서 개최된다.
‘기초조형’을 중심으로 한 창작 활동의 성과를 교류하는 전시회로서, 전시회 주제에 부합한 국내·외 유명작가 작품을 초대전시하고, 지명작가를 통하여 ‘갤러리 토크’를 진행, 참여작가 상호간의 이해와 소통의 기회를 공유하고 있다.

출품작을 대상으로 소정의 심사과정을 거쳐 ‘최우수작품상’을 선정·시상하고 있다.

The international invitational exhibition organized by Korea Society of Basic Design & Art is divided into ‘international invitational exhibition’ which is held on a regular basis twice a year (spring and fall) and ‘internationally organized invitational exhibition’ which is held on an irregular basis. They are held in special exhibition halls at home and abroad.
Such exhibitions share and exchange the great achievements obtained through creative activities based on ‘basic design and art’, and thus, artworks that are in accordance with the theme of the exhibitions and are made by renowned artists from home and abroad are displayed. Through the invitation of nominated artists to ‘Gallery talk’, mutual understanding and opportunities at communication between the participating artists are provided.
Through a simple evaluation process, ‘Outstanding Artwork Award’ was presented for the selected artwork.
